SPECIAL EVENT - a doll class with BARBARA SCHOENOFF
Coming
from Champaign, Illinois, Barbara has a broad background in costume
design and became a serious doll designer twelve years ago, teaching at
conferences all over the states. Winner of the Hoffman Challenge and
several other competitions, her work is on the cutting edge.
Morris, the Whimsical
Dancer
Morris is about 17" tall without his
pedestal. He's a lovely, whimsical dancer with sculpted face,
articulated
hands and seventeen print fabrics in his costume. The first day we make
the doll, wiring each finger, sculpting and coloring his face. The
second day is devoted to his costume.

Altered
Couture Cover Signing Party with Carla Buchanan
Carla's original artwork, a hand dyed knit
sweater, is on the cover of Altered Couture, Spring 2010 issue. The
sweater was dyed in the woods of Sequim, Washington. Carla is currently
a full time student at The Fashion Institute of Design and
Merchandising in Los Angeles. Upon completion of her studies, Carla
plans to manufacture her own clothing line catering to women, ages 45
to 60. You can meet Carla, see and purchase altered couture clothing
samples, as well as purchase the magazine.

Granny's Flower Bouquet
Make this "scrappy" project as a single,
charming little wallhanging or do it in multiples, and turn it into a
great quilt. It involves English paper piecing ad eginning applique.
Both are easy techniques to learn we know you'll be pleased with the
results.

This bag is the perfect size for a two or
three day stay. It's lightweight, easy to carry, and folds down flat
when not in use. Teenages love them so it makes a great gift as well.
It's an easy project for beginning sewers and best of all, when the
class is over, you'll have a finished bag as well as a small matching
cosmetic bag to take home.
