Almost every
Saturday and Sunday store entrance is host to
one or more activities for our customers to view and/or participate in
- demonstrations by
Piecemakers' talented teachers/artists, book signings with artist-authors, make-it-and-take-it projects for
holidays or any time, and "stores"
set
up so you can purchase original one of a kind creations by the
exhibiting artists and crafters. And, we can't forget
the outstanding music events
happening many Fridays in the
entrance, during the lunch hour! Watch for demo dates and times in the calendar of events. Click on any picture to enlarge. |

Celebration of the Life and Handwork of Marilyn Morse August 9, 2014. Click on any picture to enlarge. Customers, friends and family
came to Piecemakers to visit with our dear friend and customer, Marilyn
Morse, as she stitched and chatted, surrounded by her artwork and
crafts that span more than fifty years. Most everyone knows what an
accomplished doll and bear maker Marilyn is, but many were surprised at
her beautiful oil paintings and vintage ornament bobble tree. What a
pleasure it was for Piecemakers to showcase the work of this
talented lady!

Toshiko Okawa
graces Piecemakers entrance with her presence and traditional Japanese
koto music on a regular basis (see Calendar
of Events for dates), and gave us a special treat when she brought
her friend, Nori Tani, a well-known jazz flutist, to play, January
10th. They performed traditional Japanese songs together and Nori wowed
everyone with some great jazz tunes! He was also honored to meet 101 year old drummer, Viola Smith, who you can see in the picture at lower right. |
