Give Piecemakers a chance
Just a note on behalf of the Piecemakers' cause.
America, are you in such stupor of fear that you don't know by God's grace
we are saved, and if righteousness came by the law then Christ died in vain?
The government has bewitched us with promises of safety. Wake up. Everyday
people suffer, and the government is not able to stop it. Let us, who call
ourselves Americans, trust in the One who laid the foundation for our Constitution
and Bill of Rights — Jesus Christ.

God and country
I agree that sometimes there is too much
legislation imposed on our daily business of living, but I have news for
letter-writer Kerry Parker ["Give Piecemakers a chance," Jan. 19]. Jesus Christ
did not lay the foundation for our Constitution and Bill of Rights. People
wanting to ensure our freedom of choice did.
My money says, "In God We Trust." Which God? Here we get
to pick one. My Constitution and Bill of Rights guarantees it. Are we in the
same country?

Judgment will be upon us
I pray that the ignorance of letter-writer Maggie
Fussell is not the norm for U.S. citizens ["God and country," Jan. 22]. Ignorance
is a dangerous weapon. Ignorance crucified the very God who founded our country
and created the ones who drew up our Constitution. "Forgive them Father for
they know not what they do" will not hold water in the hour in which we live.
Every knee will bow to Jesus Christ as Lord or perish.
Iraq is a good example of every knee having to bow, not
to democracy, but to God or destruction. God is warning America: "Humble yourselves
and turn back to me or I will destroy you as I am destroying Iraq."
