    This letter was sent to The Orange County Register in response to an article on legalizing marijuana.

    Marijuana

    What is all the hullabaloo about the legality of marijuana??? Let me ask you a couple of simple questions.

    I    s marijuana as harmful as cigarettes???

    I    s marijuana as addictive as alcohol or cigarettes??

    T    he answer to both of these questions is no, no and a big NO.

    I    f all man made laws were removed and replaced by the Ten Commandments I
    venture to say we soon would begin taking responsibility for our lives.

    L    aws are made by what the Bible calls "in part" thinkers. In other words, laws are made by insane idiots who surmise that the law will change people when the fact is this: Man made laws bind the people and make those they bind lie, steal and cheat to get rid of that which binds.

    J    esus was grieved with a generation as corrupt as ours. He said this about the law makers:

    M    atthew 23:4 - "They bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne and lay them on men's shoulders. But they themselves will not lift a finger to help anyone."
    Matthew 24 follows 23 and it tells about the big wipe out of all corruption. It is called the harvest.

    T    rust me, it is not a big gathering at the Angels' stadium. It is the end of life as you now know it. It is the end of our apathy. It is the end of worrying about what is legal and what is not legal and it is the beginning of a new "land of the free and the home of the brave".
