"a" states, "A telephone in each elevator car..." "b" states, "An electric bell..." (Just to ponder: Why do we need both a bell and a telephone, particularly when almost everyone has a cell phone in their pocket these days?) WE HAVE AN ELECTRIC BELL. BELOW THE CODE ARE STATED THE EXCEPTIONS. #1 IS: "1. Elevators in buildings having a height from the lowest to the highest elevator landing of not more than 65 feet" [OUR HEIGHT FROM LOWEST TO HIGHEST IS 25 FEET], "providing the distance between any adjacent landing does not exceed 15 feet" [OUR DISTANCE BETWEEN ADJACENT LANDINGS IS 10 FEET]. |
